Happy Holidays...

Well the long weekend didn't go as we had planned.  It was beautiful all weekend and Curt and I had tons of things planned for Jace... well Saturday morning (our first day of summer holidays) started off with Jace waking up with a fever.  Now that is the scary "F" word in our house now.  We spent the next 4 days trying to keep Jace cool, medicated and happy while being stuck in the house.  He had no other sick symptoms other than the fever which only went away for about 4 hours total in the first three days.  We went to the ER and the walk in clinic and always got the same answer... until he develops more symptoms there is nothing that can be done.  He had his ears and throat checked, urine samples and nothing showed infection.  We just had to wait it out.  Which is easier said than done in our house.  Curt and I got minimal sleep the last 3 nights due to worrying and so did Jace as we were sticking a thermometer in his ear once an hour.  He was a trooper though!  He never was cranky and he enjoyed getting extra fills of cuddles, cartoons and his soother (which he only gets in his crib and the car).  We ventured out twice to Nana and Papa's to play in the shade in their backyard when it had cooled down.  It is 9:30 Tuesday night and we have gone 9 1/2 hours without a fever or medicine, here's hoping it is over!

Curt pulled down the mattress from the spare room upstairs so we could all lay on it and watch cartoons.

Once I was in a better mood, I baked cookies lol.  Here is Jace enjoying one.  As soon as they came out of the oven he pointed and said " Please!  Cookies!"  I couldn't say no!

Jace was sitting on the mattress watching Toopy and Binou.  If you have ever been at our house when this dumb show is on, you know that Jace is unmovable.  I quickly wrapped him up, took a picture, and unwrapped him and he didn't even blink!

One last picture of Jace playing in his toy box with his favorite remote control car!
