Minus A Billion Outside...

Today it was minus a billion outside (okay it was like -40) so Jace and I decided to have a pajama day at home!  Here is a recap of our day...

Tummy time, not so bad anymore!

Either Jace is getting use to tummy time, or he has realized it's not worth fighting it!

So since it was so cold out, this is what Jace decided to do... have a nap while being wrapped up in "big blue" on the couch.

This is later in the day, Jace decided to take another nap, this time on a different spot on the couch, and in a more leisurely fashion!

Jace had a tummy ache, so after some puke I changed him and he wanted to nap AGAIN!  Hands up by his face is his signature style!

We got bored of napping and I put Twilight on the TV.  We cuddled on the floor and watched the movie!

Here he is watching the movie.  Notice he is in his THIRD outfit of the day (it's only 2pm!)

Curt and I cannot wait for Jace to get big enough to play in some of the toys we bought him.  Curt put together a bunch of the toys and we anxiously waited for Jace to get up from his nap so we could put him in his Jumperoo.  If you look closely at the pictures, you will notice that he may have to get a bit bigger to fit!!!  So funny to watch!!!!

You can barely see his head!

Not much fun when you can't see over the seat!!!!

Time to get out!  I have to admit we were laughing pretty hard at this point!

Professional Pics!

We had a professional photographer take pictures of Jace when he was about 3 weeks old.  She did an amazing job, and was so patient!  It took three tries to get the pictures!  Here are a few of my favorite pictures.  It was so hard to choose just a few!  You may see more on here in the days to come!

I love this one, Jace is making all kinds of faces lately and he is so expressive!  He has beautiful dark blue eyes!

A cute shot of his little hand!

Jace and I having a heart to heart.  I think it went something like this "Please Jace, just go to sleep for 10 minutes so we can get your pictures taken.  You don't even have to sleep if you don't want to!  Just fake it!  Please...for mommy!"

Jace's ever present little smirk when he sleeps!

My wonderful, extraordinary, amazing husband with our little man.  Curt has been a rock star in the parenting department!  He is so good with Jace and does so much with him already, we are both very lucky to have him in our lives!

Family shot!  I'm standing on my toes so I don't look so short!

Poor Kai, she tried so hard to get Jace bundled up perfectly for this shot, and he wanted none of it!  Just as she got him wrapped tight he would wiggle his way out!  He has to sleep in a sleep sack at night because he is such a wiggle worm!

Our sleeping angel, always has his hands up!

Jace loves to scratch and fuss with his hands, so he usually has mitts on.  This is characteristic of him, hands up at his face!

I love baby feet!

This is one of mine and Curt's favorite pictures.

3 Weeks Old Already!

Jace is 3 weeks old today!  Here are a few pictures over the last 3 weeks.  He has changed so much already!  He is gaining weight like crazy and is such a wiggle worm!
We had professional pictures taken this weekend and today, Jace did not want to sleep at all during the photo shoot!  He was too busy moving around to get his picture taken.  Stay tuned for some of the pics!

Tummy Time!

We have been trying to do "tummy time" everyday with Jace, and he HATES it!  Here are a few pictures of him struggling to flip over onto his back.  When he was 16 days old, he managed to flip himself over!  It was quite scary for us to watch!  He is already getting so big and strong!

He almost managed to flip over here... look at that leg extension!

Not a happy camper in this one!  Hopefully he learns to enjoy it!

"Big Boy" Clothes

On Thursday I brought Jace to see Dad at work.  I thought I would put him in "Big Boy" clothes, since he has been wearing sleepers since we brought him home.  Once I got the clothes on, I realized why he has been wearing sleepers...they are the only thing that fits him right now!
It looks like Jace has no neck in these pictures because the shirt is too big!  He looks like a mini Steve Urkel, with his pants pulled up so high...so funny and cute!

Here is Jace with his "Dad's Rock Star" T-Shirt.

I love this picture!  He looks so old already here!  This is one of my favorite pictures of him!  I can't believe how much he has changed over the last 17 days!

Jace was a big hit at school!  All the ladies were fawning over him, lol!

We had a great visit with the McMahon's after Jace was born.  Here are a few pictures of Addison and Ben with Jace.  We can't wait until Addison is older... she will make a great babysitter!!!

Our Boy Is Going To Be An Oilers Fan

Anyone who knows Curt, knows that he is a big Oilers fan.  Jace has already been decked out in Oilers gear from friends and family!  Here are a few pictures with his Oilers outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Lansing and a few on Curt's Oilers blanket from Nana and Papa Hergott.

Showing off the Oilers symbol...

Propped up on a few pillows...

Love this one!  This is how I feel watching hockey some days!

Jace also received a Oilers jersey from Johnny and the fellas... absolutely adorable!  Curt can't wait to build an outdoor rink in our backyard so he can take his little guy skating and teach him to play hockey!

Jace Meets the Lansing Side of the Family!

On New Year's Day, we got together for supper and a photo shoot with the Lansing side of the family (we were missing Uncle Mark though).  Jace and his new cousin Kane were dressed in Oilers gear compliments and Grandma and Grandpa and we had a lot of laughs trying to get the boys to stay awake at the same time so we could get some photos in.

Here is a picture of Grandpa and his two boys.  Kane is 5 weeks older than Jace.  (These two are going to be trouble!!!)

Here is a photo of all of us.

Great Grannie B and the boys.

Grandma and her two boys!

The new babies and the proud parents!  We are in for some fun times over the next few years with these adorable boys!

It was a bit hot in the house and the boys were sweating by the time we were done with all of the pictures!  Here they are cooling off in their underwear!
