Relaxing after the Holidays!

Jace was absolutely exhausted after all of our family left on the 28th.  He went to bed the night before every and slept in late!  Here he is, enjoying soem of his new toys and relaxing in his new favorite position!  He loves to sit and have his hands behind his head!  He does it when he sleeps, when he is done eating, when he watches TV and he even sat that way on Curt's lap at the Rebels game the other night!  Such a funny little monkey!

Christmas Day 2012

Christmas day was a busy day at our house this year!  As soon as we got Jace out of bag, he was instantly asking for presents!  We took him downstairs where Gma and Gpa met us and Jace opened his stocking and gift from Santa.  He had alot of fun with all the Thomas things in his stokcing and especially liked the Transformers Fire Hall Santa brought him!  He also loved his train set from Uncle Mark, Tool Chest from Gma adnd Gpa and the Thomas mat and trains from Aunty D, Uncle Brad and Kane.
After presents we had breakfast and played, played played!
At some point during the day everyone made it to our house for a visit and supper.  I even cooked my first turkey this year!  We all had a wonderful time playing with the boys and they made sure they got everyone to play with them!  The boys were tuckered out by the end of the night and everyone had a wonderful Christmas together!

Christmas Eve 2012

For Chrsitmas Eve this year, we went to church, came back to Nana and Papa's, had our supper of appetizers and dips and then Jace TORE into the presents.  He had his warm up at his birthday and knew exactly what to do!  He helped every open their gifts!  He especvially liked his Elmo stocking from Nana and Papa, his Thomas the Train huge fleece blanket and his huge Tractor from Uncle Ryan.  We were all spoiled and had a great night together!

We Have a Two Year Old!

Jace turned two on Dec. 21!  It is hard to believe that he is already two years old!  This little boy has brought so much love and joy into our lives.  Curt and I are amazed everyday at all of the things he can do and say.  He is quite a little comedian now, full of funny things to say and full of energy!  I honestly don't know how he has so much energy!  One of our favorite things to do with him is tuck him in at night, he always tells us "Goodnight Mommy and Daddy, love you Mommy and Daddy!"  Best thing ever to hear!  Then he has to give us kisses, and he always makes sure to give Curt eskimo kisses, their favorite little thing!  He also loves to be tickled right now, so Curt and I are taken every opportunity we can to hear his sweet little giggles!  What a fun 2 years it has been!

Jace's Birthday Party

We had Jace's birthday party the day before his actual birthday this year.  We had a bunch of friends come and meet us at the St. Thomas gym where the kids played in the bouncy house, played in the gym and Curt set up a little hockey rink for them to play mini sticks in!  The kids all had a blast and Jace got spoiled by all of his friends.  He had such a good time playing with everyone. He especially loved his Thomas cake!  Anything with Thomas these days and he is happy!  We were very thankful to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate our little monkey turning 2!

Rebels Goalie Stick

Jace got an early gift this year for his birthday/Christmas.  Curt and I teach/taught these two wonderful boys and they have a Rebel that lives with them this year.  The boys also know that Jace loves hockey and goalies in particular.  So they decided to get Jace a Rebels goalie mini stick and get the whole team to sign it!  How cute!  Jace absolutely loves it and when it was time to go to bed that night, when we tried to take it away, he flipped!  Such a thoughtful gift though!

First Skate!

When I was in Vegas 6 weeks ago, the boys had the house to themselves for a few days.  Curt decided that it was time for Jace to get some hockey skates!  He went out and bought him skates and a helmet.  Once I got back we went to the Dawe with Grandma and Grandpa and all the boys went skating.  Jace absolutely LOVED it!  He was especially excited when Curt would carry him and skate around.  Curt was tired by the end!  Jace was so good, and he even tried to skate a bit!  Even when he fell down, he was determined to get right back up!  Looks like Curt is going to get the little hockey player he always wanted!  Only problem is Jace LOVES goalies... not good news for us!  Twice as much money and half the playing time!  Oh well, time will tell!  It was pretty cute watching him on the ice though!
