Hockey Time

Today after work, Curt and I took Jace to see Papa at the westerner.  Jace wore an Oilers jersey to the Rebels game last week and apparently that just won't do!  We met my dad at the Centrium and he got one of the Rebels guys' to open up the gift shop and Jace went crazy in there!  Grabbing sticks and shooting pucks, all the while Curt and I were trying to try jerseys on him.  He finally stood still long enough for us to get one on him!  He also ended up with a Rebels hackey sack.  At the end, he said " Thank you Papa ", and gave him a hug.  It was a pretty cute afternoon.  Then onto Beaners for a haircut!  Family pictures on Sunday here we come!  Stay tuned for some new Lansing pics!

Afternoon at the Park

Last weekend we had a play date with the McMahons and the Stangs at Parkland park.  We all brought snacks and coffees and had an awesome couple of hours together.  With going back to school, it seems like we do not get to spend as much time as we would like with good friends.

Jace in his cool new backpack!  He is ready to play!  It is nice that he can carry his own bag around now!

Jace with his backpack and a bag of sand toys.

The 3 Amigos!

Jill and Emmett.  I didn't get a pic of Addi or Ben, they were too busy playing!

Rebels Home Opener

Curt took Jace to the home opener of the Rebels last Friday night.  They were both so excited to spend some "boy" time together!  Jace had an absolute blast.  Curt took him early so he could go right up to the glass and watch warmup.  He also got to sit with his best buddy Brody.  The boys even got some mini sticks from my dad.  When Jace got home all he said over and over again was "goalie".  He was very excited!  I love these boys so much!  Curt is such an awesome dad, he spends so much time with Jace and is teaching him all kinds of things!  We are both very lucky to have him!!!

Discovery Canyon

On the last day of summer holidays, Curt and I decided to take Jace to Discovery Canyon.  We haven't been there in about 15 years, so we decided to visit.  We went on a Tuesday morning at 10... there was no one there!!!!  We was a wonderful way to spend our last day of holidays together.  We didn't stay too long... I am deathly scared of wasps and bees.... there were a few that would not leave!  I also do not like insects... there was a dead floating cockroach washing up on shore where we were... I swear it was the size of my foot.  SOOOO GROSS!!!  I whined and we left!  But it was fun while we were there!

Jace loved the sand!  He especially liked when Curt built him sandcastles!

Curt taught Jace how to throw rocks...he laughed and laughed and laughed!

Visit with Gma

This last week, Jace's sitter has been gone.  So Grandma came!  They did a ton of stuff each day, and you should hear the sentences coming out of Jace's mouth!  CRAZY!!  They played at the park, went for walks,  went to Great Grannie's, watched some cartoons, ate lots of snacks and even came down to do the Dawe Run with Curt and I!

Watching some cartoons on the computer with some handy headphones!

Here is the monster tub of play-doh and accessories from Gma.  Jace's absolute favorite activity right now!
