Daddy Makes the Best Forts!
Curt made Jace a fort the other night, and Jace liked it so much that it stayed up for 3 days! Curt had put a blanket and a pillow inside to sit on, but Jace didn't stop there! He pulled out every single toy from the toy box and brought it itno the fort. Here are some pictures of the 3 days playing in the fort, everyone had a turn!
Snack time in the fort...

Happy Birthday Daddy!
On the 2nd, it was Curt's birthday! We had a fun action packed weekend! It started with Jace and I buying some Babycakes Cupcakes Friday night, Jace's eyes were HUGE when we walked into that bakery!
We started Saturday morning off with some presents and breakfast in bed. Jace helped me make French Toast, and we cut them into hearts.
Then we went for swimming lessons, and it was Curt's turn to take Jace in the water. Jace could ahve been better that lesson... it was a little stressful for all involved, but we made it through!
After some errands and a nap at home (movie for Curt and I), we headed to the Rebels Game. It was nice, Papa had the box so Jace could run around. We all had a blast together, Jace was still wired by the end of the game, but it was Mom and Dad who had to pull the plug to leave a bit early! We are getting so old!
We ended the weekend with a bunch of family time on Sunday, all in all, we was a great birthday weekend for Daddy!
Tool Box!
Gma and Gpa had bought Jace a tool set at Christmas time, and we were saving it for a cold day to open and set up. Jace absolutely loves it and is so proud of himself when he can cut the wood on his own. He now likes to use the drill press, drill out the circle of wood, throw the wood to the side and drop the little circle into the hanging bin. It was a lot of fun watching him the other night play. Thanks Gma and Gpa, good gift!

Helping Daddy Shovel
Jace really likes being outside in the snow and for the longest time would watch Curt shovel the walks from the front window. It has started to get nice out and I found Jace a little shovel so he can help his dad! Jace is quite emphatic these days on what he wants. A lot of the time he refuses to put his mitts on, so we don't even make it out of the house. On this day he was all for getting dressed up to go help dad! I love all of these pictures, it just shows how big he is getting. Our favorite part of the days are his little laugh. You can hear it throughout the house and makes both Curt and I smile each time!
After Jace was done shoveling at our house, we loaded him up in the car and dropped him off at Nana and Papa's for an hour so he could shovel their walks. When we came to pick him up, he had settled in nicely in their new basement with his bowl of snacks, Tika beside him and cartoons on the TV. Tough life being 2!

Swimming Lessons
Jace started swimming lessons this week and Curt and I decided that we would each take a turn going in the pool with him. I got the first day. He did pretty good, and really liked being in the water for the most part. The only problem was he was too busy! The instructor would want him to float on his back and he kept asking to go play basketball or go on the slide, lol. I had to jump out of the water 'quickly', that being a relative term these days to try to catch him sometimes! The kids had to practice going up the ladder and to the slide on their own, and sometimes the instructor got sidetracked with another student so that elft the parents to jump out and get the kids! Curt and my mom watched and laughed from the balcony. Curt's turn next week! Stay tuned for more pictures!

Relaxing after the Holidays!
Jace was absolutely exhausted after all of our family left on the 28th. He went to bed the night before every and slept in late! Here he is, enjoying soem of his new toys and relaxing in his new favorite position! He loves to sit and have his hands behind his head! He does it when he sleeps, when he is done eating, when he watches TV and he even sat that way on Curt's lap at the Rebels game the other night! Such a funny little monkey!
